Our dynamic development team is constantly developing new web applications and often adding functionality to existing applications. We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester who can ensure that all new features are functioning properly, they are up to mark and ensuring that the users of the applications are experiencing functionality smoothly and correctly.

Responsibilities

  • Get involved with earliest planning to understand how new features are intended to work.
  • Design, manage, and document functional, regression, and stress tests to ensure our service works smoothly for all members.
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans and communicate them with development teams.
  • Identify, analyze and document bug defects found on projects (using both automated and manual testing)
  • Write detailed, comprehensive bug reports found in our QA environment
  • Consult with development engineers and product development team to resolve problems.
  • Work with our Support Team to investigate bug reports from users.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong understanding of web and web-related technologies
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium
  • Familiarity with continuous integration build tools such as Cruise Control / Hudson
  • A strong attention to detail and a feeling of pride and ownership over the quality of our product.
  • The ability to advocate for best practices, great usability and exceptional quality.

Other Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and switch priorities as needed
  • Be self-driven and able to work in a group environment
  • Experience working in the Scrum Agile development methodology is a plus
